Level 0 - Entrance Zone

Foundation Level Log #1

Hostility Level:
0-1⚫

Back to Home

Level 0 is technically the first level of the backrooms, Level 0 is a seemingly infinite maze of hallways consisting of dirty, moist yellow carpet, cream and yellow patterned walls with wallpaper peeling and crumbling from mold and age, as well as the constant buzzing from the fluorescent ceiling lights.

Entities:
-Despite the conclusion of zero entities, many who have been through this level claim to have seen a tall, glitching figure made up of black lines with no discernable features other than it’s long legs and arms as well as the vague shape of a head and a glowing face known as the Glitched Entity. So far, though, any and all attempts by the Foundation to get solid proof of the existence of this entity have proved inconclusive.

Items of Note:-The Glitched Chair:
Located in a random area of the level is a glitched chair that will take you to Level 1 if you sit in it. [Note: Carved into the seat of the chair are the words “DON’T TOUCH THE MIRRORS”.] [See Foundation Log #2 for more information]
-Almond Water [See Foundation Item Log #1 for more information]

[Note recovered from a now-deceased Field Agent in Level 0]“This place is massive,
there’s no exits anywhere and I’ve followed every one of those damn arrows. The buzzing is making my head hurt like hell and it seems like covering my ears doesn’t even help anymore. I’m running out of food and water quickly and the recovery team from the Foundation still hasn’t gotten to me…
…I think I’m gonna die here. I have a wife back on Level 23, I know we’re not supposed to expect to come back, but god did I hope to… Patricia, love of my life… I’m sorry, I should’ve listened when you said to stay, I’m so, so sorry…”

Entrances:
-You can enter by no-clipping out of the front rooms or most other levels
Exits:
-You can get to Level 1 by sitting in a glitched out chair
-You can no-clip to other levels in various ways.
-You can find a white, homely door and going through it will take you to Level 42

[Footnote: We’ve got a research team down in Level 0 trying to find out more about it so we can get a better idea of it’s size and capacity for danger, I’ll update the log as we find out more -Dr. Light Bulb ]

Level 1 - Too Many Doors, Too Many Mirrors

Foundation Level Log #2

Hostility Level: 5-1◯

Back To Home

Level 1 is also known as a hub of sorts amongst Foundation members, as it contains many, many doors all leading to different levels that change with every person who enters seemingly an infinite amount of times.

Too Many Doors:
Level 1 Section 1 starts out as a circular room with walls lined in doors of varying shapes, sizes, colors, and more hinting at the level that the hallway on the other side will lead to. When you go through one of the doors, as long as you either keep it open or within your line of sight, it will lead back to the circular room. But, If you close it and look away from it, it will essentially move where it leads to and will then take you to the corresponding level.
Too Many Mirrors:
The hallways of Level 1 are, by all accounts, incredibly dangerous. The walls and ceiling of this level are all made of disorienting and warping mirrors, though the floors are a solid, matte black.
Touching any of the mirrors will either put you at risk of being pulled through by an entity into another level through that level’s reflective surface, or it will let the entity come through to you from its original level.
As you advance further into these mirror hallways, the walls will begin to get narrower and narrower until you have no choice but to make contact if you cannot get out before then.
Whenever the chair is used the mirrors also change where their other sides lead to. This happening will be indicated by the mirrors cracking and glitching until they reach the next location. You’ll know they’ve finished changing when all cracking and glitching suddenly snaps back to normal.

Items of Note:-The Glitched Chair: Located in the center of the main circular room, there is a glitched chair that will take you to a random level. Upon using the chair to come back again, the doors will have been randomized to new levels. This can be done an unknown amount of times. [Note: Carved into the seat of the chair are the words “DON’T TOUCH THE MIRRORS”.]
[Note #2: The glitched chair can appear in any and every level as far as we currently know of. There seems to only be one, but we’re not completely positive. -Field Agent Dr. Callalilly ] [See Foundation Log #2 for more information]

Entities:-Because of the fact the entities in this level are not actually from here and instead come through the mirrors from other levels, this level has no set entity types that we currently know of.

Entrances:
-You can get to Level 1 by sitting in a glitched out chair in any level
Exits:
-You can exit through any of the various doors or the chair

[Footnote: This level is, by all accounts, incredibly unknown and dangerous. It is unknown whether there is any other side to the mirrors other than the levels they lead to, or exactly how far the hallways go on for. Research is pending. -Field Agent Dr. Callalily ]

Level 17 - Hellscape

Foundation Level Log #11

Hostility Level: 5-4◯
[Note: Atticus’s Bar & Diner is a 4-0 safezone]

Back To Home

When you picture ‘Hell”, that is Level 17. This level has everything from lakes of fire to dangerous, crumbling cliffs with entities crawling out from the depths to drag you back down with them. Yet, on one of the cliffs, is one of the safest entity owned and established businesses.

Hellscape:
This section of Level 17 has been creatively named The Hellscape, as it is exactly that. While this level isn’t even remotely explored, we can tell just by looking at it for the brief times we’ve been able to, that it fucking sucks. There are massive cliffs that drop off into deep, dark ravines absolutely crawling with, well, Crawlers, and various other hostile entities that we haven’t been able to document. There are actual lakes of fire as well as other lakes made of fluids we have zero interest in discovering[Note: Shocking, we know. -Both of us]
Atticus’s Bar & Diner:
For some unknown reason, tucked away on one of the many, many cliffs of this level, you’ll find Atticus’s Bar & Diner, which is, as it sounds, a bar and a diner combined into one. As the name would suggest, this Bar & Diner is run by Atticus, a fully sentient neutral entity that acts as a begrudging father figure to a weird amount of people. [Note: I’m his favorite though -Field Agent Dr. Callalilly]
The inside of the Bar & Diner is somehow both musty and dark, as well as bright and comfortable. The seating looks crowded yet you always have enough room for what you need, and the bar appears to have just about every drink imaginable, whether it’s safe for consumption or not. [Note: I saw him serve someone acid from Level 444 once with a tiny umbrella in it -Dr. Light Bulb]

Items of Note:
-Atticus’s Sign: Located in his Bar & Diner, there is a sign on the wall that proudly says “fuck around and find out”

Entities:
-Atticus:
Atticus is the entity who runs Atticus’s Bar & Diner. Standing at roughly 8ft, Atticus has the appearance similar to that of an attractive stereotypical popculture demon and the personality of a tired dad. [Half of the additional text has been blacked out] [Note: Cal why -Dr. Light Bulb]
[Note #2: Don’t ‘why’ me you whore -Field Agent Dr. Callalilly]
[See Foundation Entity Log #11 for more information]
-Crawlers:
Crawlers have the appearance of a very elderly man with all of his limbs broken, and incredibly long fingers and toes. They will attack on sight and drag anyone they can get their hands on down into ravines and will sometimes fight with other entities over dismembered corpses. [Note: Did you have to go into so much detail? -Field Agent Dr. Callalilly]
[Note #2: Obviously -Dr. Light Bulb]
[See Foundation Entity Log No. 12 for more information]
-There are plenty of other entities, but we have not yet been able to get a good log of what they are, as our field agents keep getting mauled before reporting back.

Entrances:
-You can enter through an abandoned building on Level 444
-You can enter through a door on Level 1, or via the Glitched Chair on Level 1
-You can no-clip in
-You can find a red door randomly on any level that will take you straight into Atticus’s Bar & Diner
Exits:
-You can no-clip out
-You can get to Level 1 by sitting in the glitched chair
-You can go back out through the abandoned building door, as it goes both ways and doesn’t move or lock
-If you speak to Atticus before leaving his establishment, he can activate the door in the bar that, one you go through it, will take you to a random safe level.

[Footnote: While the bar is considered a safe space and most people respect that and will remain neutral when inside, things can always happen and death can absolutely occur. Proceed with caution -Dr. Light Bulb]

Level 23 - Home Base

Foundation Level Log #3

Hostility Level: 2-2⚫

Back To Home

Level 23 is where the first and biggest Foundation base, “Ground 0”, is located. The level itself is a large field surrounded by thick forest that goes on for countless miles. Though, despite the size, the forest is incredibly well-explored and most if not all entities are well-documented.

The Field:
The Field is exactly what it sounds like, being a large open field full of short plantlife such as grass, wheat, and flowers. The field also has some neutral entities called Warped Animals that roam around it.[See FOundation Entity Log #4 for more information]
Ground 0:
Ground 0 is essentially a town built up from the surrounding materials found in the forest and field, making it mainly wooden.
Since the establishment of the Foundation, the town has grown significantly in size, security, and development, though for the most part it remains mostly wooden. [Note: We’re working on that -Dr. Light Bulb ]
The Forest:
The Forest is also exactly what it sounds like, being a large, thickly wooded forest stretching on for miles; the exact number is unknown, but we have explored enough that we can safely say it might be infinite. You can find many different types of [Warped Animals]( https://entitymasterlist.carrd.co/#warpedanimals) here in the forest as well as Whisper Men and Werebears.

Items of Note:-Food: There are various types of food here, most of which being grown, though some livestock has been gathered thanks to the Foundation’s exploration outside of the level and some of the odd animals from the forest have been determined edible.-Almond Water [See Foundation Item Log #1 for more information]

Entities:-Warped Animals:
These are neutral entities that roam the forest and appear to be similar in appearance to the typical animals you’d expect to see in a forest, such as deer and rabbits, but with odd changes to their appearances and behavior. That being said, many of these have been proven to be edible. [See Foundation Entity Log #4 for more information]
-Whisper Men:
Whisper Men
are odd, moss-covered entities that are found deeper in the forest and will attempt to lure anyone traveling nearby to their holes by whispering with mimicked voices where the traveler will then be mutilated and eaten. Thanks to the discovery of the Whisper Men, all travelers going into the deep woods are expected to know sign language. That being said, the Whisper Men can easily be scared off by loud noises such as yelling, but yelling can, of course, draw attention to you from other entities. [See Foundation Entity Log #5 for more information]
-Werebears:
Werebears
are monstrous entities that, if they find you, will drag you violently into the deepest parts of the woods where they will then maul you, and turn you into one of them, hence the name. Luckily, Werebears really only become a threat if you go past the safe markers at the edge of the deeper forest unless they’re drawn past by noise or smells. [See Foundation Entity Log #6 for more information]

Entrances:
-Going through the commonly appearing door with a very woodland appearance in Level 1 will take you to Level 23,
-You can accidentally no-clip into the forest or into town through a stone slab
Exits:
-Sitting on the glitched chair will take you to Level 1,
-You can accidentally no-clip out in the forest to a random level
-You can purposely no-clip out through a stone slab in the middle of town [Note: Watching people run into that thing on my way to work in the morning is like coffee -Dr. Light Bulb ]
